Adzer van der Molen (Amsterdam) his paintings have their origins in film stills, television images, and photography. The symbolically layered work makes use of the suggestive meaning of the landscape, in which isolated buildings represent human endeavors. There is a strong light-dark contrast here, achieved with a limited color palette. The work has both a romantic and an ironic side, is both contemplative and lyrical.
