FANTASIA
Four artists from Leipzig curated this exhibition. All four artists explore different perceptions of reality and show their own interpretation of fantasy through painting and sculpture. The artists stayed in the Netherlands for a week during the construction of the exhibition.
Fantasia, a group exhibition by Gunther Schumann, Jantje Almstedt, Martin Schuster, and Ruth Unger.
Gunther Schumann (1987), lives and works in his hometown Leipzig, Germany. The focus of Gunther aka Square Boy’s artistic work is on narrative drawing and conceptual urban art. Many of his creative projects are characterized by an interdisciplinary approach. He created the music video Die Grauen Herren, which shows costumed actors in a stylized environment made of cardboard and links this with hip-hop music culture. The four-minute film was screened at several national film festivals. In addition to his visual artistic work, Square Boy works as a music producer in the fields of electronic music and hip-hop.

Ruth Unger (1990), born in Berlin, Germany, lives and works in Leipzig.
